7K - $105K a year Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Quality Manager is implementation, support, and management of practices for assuring that products and processes adhere to specifications and standards and all internal/external quality audits.
The Quality Manager oversees the administration and continual improvement of quality management systems and practices at the assigned facility.
Responsibilities Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service.
Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
Maintain and Report Quality KPI's weekly and monthly Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Develop, document, and implement Quality System and procedures.
Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
Focus effort to ensure that the administration / quality management system achieves the intended results.
Have the commitment to direct and support people, to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.
Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
Inform plant management of the operation of the Quality System.
Ensure that the requirements of the Quality System are established, implemented in accordance with the standards.
Initiate corrective actions in the event of non-compliance.
Designate the responsibility and authority to ensure that the requirements of the Quality System are established, implemented and in accordance with the standards.
Designate the responsibility and authority to inform the Management of the operation of the Quality System.
This position manages all employees of the quality department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related field; Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality management position; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of ISO-9001 standards.
Skilled in the use of Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) Relevant experience may be substituted for all or a portion of the education requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing/quality manager production environment with demonstrated knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and 5S theories and practices.
Knowledge regarding ISO-14001.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
