Job Summary
Responsible for GIS technical services by creating, maintaining, and planning application services for our customers; and be responsible for the scheduling and managing of the day-to-day operations of application services through third party application providers including vendor management of contractor agreements and staffing arrangements. This position will partner with our retail distribution warehouses as part of our agricultural crop input and vegetation management distribution company. Responsibilities also includes staffing/supervision of workforce which includes third party applicators, accountability for the inventory, product delivery, and maintaining an atmosphere of superior customer service for the Turn Key Application Business. Also insure that company policies, environmental regulations, guidelines and best practices are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities

Creates, maintains and updates databases using GIS; Manages operation of GIS equipment, software, data, and products.?

Coordinates application support with Sales, Operations, Management, and third party application service providers to support the business.

Produces printed maps for the applicators showing map features, property boundaries, platted lots, recorded bearings and distances as applicable, parcel numbers, etc.; manipulation, analysis and presentation of geographical information by creating programs to convert GIS information from one format to another.
? Creating and maintaining the structures necessary for GIS data storage, developing the tools for loading/transferring GIS data between different guidance systems.
? Periodically review existing or incoming data for accuracy, usefulness, quality, or completeness of documentation.
? Coordinate the development of integrated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) spatial
r non-spatial databases.
? Provide technical support to users or clients regarding the maintenance, development, or operation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases, equipment, or applications.
? Preparing sales and applications reports.
? Assure environmental compliance is maintained at all times and properly dispose of all unusable products. Actively keep current on new regulations.
? Work closely with other regional locations helping to create efficiencies for the company.
? Research and respond to technical inquiries. Consult with regional, national sales management and key brand manufacturers on issues and prescribe appropriate actions to resolve issues. Resolve issues associated with adverse product results.
